overseas tankers

Corporate Overview

Overseas Tankers was established with the goal of developing one of the world’s largest and most modern fleets of IMO Type II Chemical Tankers. The company currently operates a fleet of MarineLine-coated IMO Type II chemical tankers, ranging from 17,000 to 25,000 DWT, with deliveries beginning in July 2008. These vessels strategically position Overseas Tankers to meet the growing global demand for chemical transportation, a trend fueled by economic expansion and evolving environmental regulations that are rendering older tanker fleets obsolete. The company’s senior management team brings extensive experience in identifying, acquiring, integrating, and managing tankers, bulk carriers, and other vessel types. They hold prominent positions in respected maritime organizations such as the International Shipping Federation, International Chamber of Shipping, INTERTANKO, INTERCARGO, ICS, the Council of the American Bureau of Shipping, Greek Shipping Cooperation Committee, Det Norske Veritas, British Marine Mutual, Bureau Veritas Group, and the Union of Greek Ship Owners. Over the years, these leaders have cultivated strong relationships with key players in the oil and chemical industries, global shipping and trading companies, shipbuilders, as well as marine insurance and finance sectors.
