Ensure safe operational practices and maintain a healthy, secure working environment onboard.
Minimize the risk of personal injury and prevent the loss of life.
Protect vessels, cargo, personnel, and the surrounding environment from harm.
Create and maintain onboard conditions that support occupational health and safety for seafarers.
Identify and assess risks to ships, personnel, and the environment, and implement appropriate protective measures within ALARP levels of risk.
Strengthen the safety management capabilities of onboard crew and shore-based staff, including emergency preparedness for health, safety, and environmental incidents.
