Logistics Management
The Company’s team is fully equipped to handle freight forwarding services, including coordination of warehouse and tank storage, as well as overall storage management. Overseas Tankers also offers comprehensive truck logistics solutions and possesses extensive global experience in the management of barges and tug operations.
Newbuildings / Projects
Since 2006, the Overseas Tankers Projects Team has been actively involved in over 30 newbuilding initiatives. These projects have included the successful conversion of Single Hull Aframax tankers to Double Hull configurations, as well as research efforts for converting container vessels into Security Escort Ships. The team brings extensive expertise in newbuilding contract management, technical specification development, and plan approval processes.
Vetting / Safety and Quality Management
Overseas Tankers' Safety Team is responsible for preparing and attending onboard inspections conducted by Oil Majors under the SIRE program, as well as Chemical Distribution Institute (CDI) inspections. We also ensure readiness and representation during Port State Control (PSC) and Flag State inspections. The team diligently monitors compliance with the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring that policies and procedures are effectively implemented and regularly verified through internal audits. Our proactive approach guarantees that vessels meet the stringent approval requirements of Oil Majors.
Marine Operations
Our team of experienced Master Mariners offers comprehensive support to ship masters, assisting in voyage planning and cargo operations to ensure safety and efficiency. We continuously monitor vessel performance and operational activities to maintain optimal standards. The Operations team provides expert guidance on all cargo-related matters, including safe handling procedures, tank and hold cleaning operations, and maintenance protocols. Detailed voyage instructions are issued, along with assistance on all navigational concerns. Certified personnel from our team conduct marine inspections and navigational audits to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Bunkering and Lubricant Services
We have established strong relationships with leading global bunker and lubricant suppliers. Our technical support includes comprehensive bunker and lubricant analysis, along with quality control services. We offer competitive pricing and expert consulting to help make informed decisions.
Sale & Purchase
We source vessels for purchase through established relationships and conduct desktop evaluations to assess potential acquisitions. Pre-purchase inspections are carried out for both sale and purchase transactions, as well as for bareboat charters. Our team performs class records inspections and prepares detailed evaluation reports. We also arrange for seagoing personnel to accompany vessels to assess their performance firsthand.
Legal / Insurance
Our in-house Legal and Insurance Department manages all insurance matters through our longstanding London-based subsidiary, Seacrest Shipping. We provide expert legal counsel on cargo-related issues, operational concerns, and claims management. Additionally, we arrange top-tier Hull & Machinery (H&M) and Protection & Indemnity (P&I) Insurance for our vessels, partnering with underwriters from the Lloyd’s of London market.
Finance Department
We manage and control vessel operating expenses on a monthly basis to ensure budget adherence. Our team prepares key financial documents, including Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. We collaborate with owners' auditors during regular reviews and the preparation of annual accounts.
Digital Systems Innovation
We take a proactive approach to adopting technological advancements for monitoring engine and machinery performance. Our crew management systems leverage the latest technology to optimize operations. We maintain an internal information system to facilitate communication and coordination among employees, crew members, and ship owners. Our systems are integrated with machinery manufacturers and fully compliant with EU regulations for reporting purposes.
Finance Department
Responsible for budgeting and controlling vessel operating expenses on a monthly basis, preparing financial statements such as Profit & Loss accounts, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements, and coordinating with owners’ auditors during routine audits and annual financial reviews.
Legal / Insurance
