Drug & Alcohol
It is the policy of the Company that no seafarer regardless of rank shall operate the vessel or any of its equipment while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if there is any risk of such impairment. The Company defines alcohol impairment as having a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 40mg/100ml or higher. To uphold this standard, the Company strictly prohibits the presence and use of alcoholic beverages and illicit drugs aboard its managed vessels. The misuse of legal medications is also forbidden, except for the medically necessary use of properly prescribed drugs. Any individual found using or in possession of alcohol or prohibited substances on board will be subject to disciplinary action, including dismissal, in accordance with national and international laws and regulations. To ensure compliance, the Company conducts random drug and alcohol testing of crew members and requires mandatory testing for all new hires prior to boarding.
